These arrived in a small brown box, discreet.

I'm reasonably new to the world of thongs, but I do have a few so can give a fair comparison.

Only one of them is really tropical in colour, but not to take away from the others, they all look good both off and on (the green is my personal fave).

The trade mark waist band is great. I'm lucky enough to own some boxers with the same thing. It's super comfy.

The front holds everything in place and the back sits as you'd imagine.

I'm a 32 waist and S/M fit like a glove.

I've worn all three of these (so three days in a row) and as comfy as they are, at the end of the day taking these off is the closest thing I imagine to girls taking off a bra after a long day. Putting them on is sexy and peeling them off is sexy.

Surprisingly, this skimpiest of underwear arrived in the standard brown Lovehoney box, rather than something more postable. Out of the box though, the basic see-through cellophane packaging really shows off the signature thong to great effect. A leafy pattern features some bright neon 'pop', set off against darker forest hues conveying a subtle tropical theme without the need for gaudy parrots. They also feature a broad waistband of the type made popular by designer brands. Proudly centred is bold dayglow 'LHM' logo lettering, a statement of Lovehoney's commitment to the brand.

Unwrapped, I'm a little concerned as these man knickers look massive. Labelled up small to medium, they are intended to cater for a 30 - 36-inch range, which is quite wide. I'm a tad worried that the thong will soon be around my ankles for all the wrong reasons. Slipping them on though allays these fears, as even on my barely 30" waist, they feel snug and secure. If the packaging they arrived in was minimal, in contrast, mine is fabulously displayed as I stand admiringly before the mirror. Partners are going to love the rear view too. My bum is shown off to its peachy best. I appreciate the way the thick waistband and small triangle of colourful cloth frame the picture. So much prettier than a G-string. They feel comfy too and support me well 'upfront'.

Normally, I'd go for cotton but the secret to the success of these lovelies is their stretchy polyester, so 'big boys', you won't have to worry. Wearing all day the material proved a success too. Breathability is essential as it can get hot down there, but this was not an issue. I loved the way my bum cheeks felt, released against softness of denim and the thin strip of material between them provided a gentle reminder of the sexy underwear beneath my jeans. The thongs feel well made with no irritating seams. The high quality of construction and material show that they are intended to be a regular choice, rather than just a novelty item for the bedroom. Thongs for men have indeed come a long way since pictures of Mr Stringfellow on the beach made all the daily papers.

To round off the 3-pack purchase are a couple of plainer offerings, though still with the neon brand lettering. They also look good on and do credit to your man pouch.

Generally, my preference is for satin or lace but this collection from Lovehoney has been an eye-opener and not just because of the bright design. I can thoroughly recommend the purchase. They are great for all-day wear and if you are lucky enough to be partnered up, I'm sure they will look forward to your new thong game as much as you will enjoy posing around for them.

These thongs are fantastic!

The wide, boxer-style elastic keeps them where they need to be and does not dig in.

I am a 40" waist and the L/XL fit perfectly. There is plenty of room for your tackle and they are supportive without being too tight.

The tropical print is nice, but the other 2 pairs are a bit plain in comparison. If only the whole set were tropical prints it would be better.
